MISSION

To share in the love of Christ with and for children, youth and families through worship, faith learning, camps/retreats, milestones, service and activities.

VISION

To share in God’s joy in developing lifelong disciples of Christ who live out their baptism.

FAITH LEARNING HOUR

The children and youth gather every Sunday at 9:00 am where they can build relationships, share stories, explore the good news of Jesus Christ, and embrace their true identity as beloved children of God. We have five different age groups

KIDS QUEST (K-2ND Grade)

Leaders: Courtney Bennett & Brandy Holloway

We are on a continuing quest as we journey together through God’s Story. This semester we will be going through Epiphany and Easter using Godly Play

GOOD NEWS CREW (3rd-5th Grade)

The Good News Crew are Bible explorers and Scripture seekers that uses crafts, activities, memory work, short videos, board games and Lego representations to help remember and apply Bible stories

Year 1: Old Testament stories from Genesis through King David and King Solomon

Year 2: New Testament- Jesus’ life, Paul’s journeys, a few past & present missionaries                                     

Year 2: Psalms, Proverbs, Parables, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Beatitudes

GOPSEL ADVENTURES (6th-8th Grade)

Gospel Adventures is our three year confirmation journey. It is a rite of passage in which young people prepare to publicly confess their faith, claim the promises of their baptism as their own and become adult members of the Christian community. Confirmation-which is called “Affirmation of Baptism” in our worship book-is a stepping stone along the Christian disciple’s life -long journey of faith.

HOME BASE (9th-12th Grade)

Home base is our high school youth group that is centered on sharing life in the Father, Son & Spirit. Jesus says “Come to Me. All who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Home base is a safe place to belong where everyone can enter and find rest within.

Year 1: Foundations of Grace: Ephesians & Romans

Year 2: Come and See Jesus-The Gospel of John

Year 3: Praise & Worship: The Lament & Thanksgiving of Psalms

Year 4: Identity: Trinity, Humanity & the Five Promises of Baptism

SHINING STARS (0-5 YEARS)

Leaders: Christine Kegel & Pixie Westphal

“We will not all sleep. But we will all be changed.” The light of Christ will shine in our hearts as we play, learn and shine like stars in the world (Philippians 2:15). Shining Stars is our nursery ministry for infants, toddlers, preschool and Kindergarten.
